FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing varies depending on the size, complexity, and materials/ rentals needed for the mural (ie. ladders, scissor lift, etc.) I do my best to work within your budget for maximum safety, efficiency, and cost reduction. I will provide all paint and materials, and handle all rentals, unless you would prefer to do so. I do ask that you prep and clean the wall, however I can do this for you for an additional fee. After we discuss your idea for the mural and decide to work together, I will begin to work on digital sketches/ digital mockups for you to approve. I require an initial deposit to start working on these digital mockups, and I will make revisions per your request until you are satisfied with the final design. I am not able to provide the digital mockups for free. This amount will be waived from the total cost of the mural! You will be able to request as many minor revisions to the final design as you'd like up until the agreed upon deadline, typically 2 weeks before the scheduled paint day. This deadline is to ensure enough time to secure paint, materials, and rentals. Further revisions beyond this point will incur an additional charge. I LOVE to travel for mural projects. I'm willing to travel pretty much anywhere, but I do have minimum daily prices for jobs outside of the Denver metro area. See below for specifics within the US: 0-50 miles: $500 daily minimum 50-100: $700 daily minimum 100-200: $800 daily minimum 200+: $1000 daily minimum My Mural Destination Bucket List: Denver, New York City, Los Angeles, Nashville, Miami, Atlanta, San Francisco, Minneapolis, and Chicago. I offer special pricing for projects in these cities!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We will first meet to discuss your idea for the project, timeline, and budget. If you decide to hire me as your mural artist, I will send a contract for us both to sign with the agreed upon date, timeline, and budget. Once signed, I'll begin the sketching/ drafting of your design. I will send digital mockups for you to choose from, and make as many revisions as needed until we land on a design you're satisfied with.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My degree is in K-12 Art Education which gave me experience with many different mediums and materials. I taught art in public schools for several years and have been painting for work and for pleasure for the past 15 years. I have completed countless murals across the US and Mexico and have been doing larger and larger projects as I get more experienced; although I still deeply enjoy painting a small wall mural every once in awhile!
