Dan the Handy Man was a godsend! He not only fixed things I needed to be fixed, he also corrected the shoddy workmanship of previous contractors from long ago. For example, he reversed a register that was unsightly and not installed correctly (he spotted that and asked me if it bothered me and it did!). I've got guests coming and I'm grateful he improved something I didn't know was fixable. He also mounted a shelf in my small bathroom that involved accurately centering it and aligning it with the mirror. It looks wonderful now! He also tracked down a difficult-to-find microwave handle and mounting piece (this involved patiently cross-referencing various multi-national companies manuals and websites as the part had been discontinued, but he found it!) He installed both and now that microwave is functional again. Daniel was professional, conscientious, and responsive to my many questions. He arrived on time and brought with him an arsenal of tools in case anything unexpected came up -- and it did. He was at the ready. He's new to Thumbtack, but told me he has decades of professional experience. Don't hesitate in hiring him --- you'll get more than your money's worth!

Dan the 'man' read the instructions for the air conditioner bracket and engineered adjustments to make it work properly. He carefully measured the air conditioner and made it a perfect fit. He was patient and thorough, Including me when making adjustments. Cleaned up afterwards and I could use the app for payment. Dan did a great job.
