How do you repair a treadmill?

To repair a treadmill, a specialist will diagnose the issue (and they may charge a diagnosis fee). For example, they’ll figure out the answers to these questions:
- Why is the treadmill going too fast or too slow?
- Why is the belt slipping? Is it too loose or too tight?
- Why is the treadmill refusing to turn on?
- Why is there a burning smell coming from the treadmill?
Once the source of the problem has been identified, a pro will take steps to repair it. If the belt is too loose or too tight, they might adjust it with a wrench. Or if the belt is dragging, they’ll lubricate it.
But if there’s a bigger issue, the repair person may need to replace a few parts, such as the motor or drive belt.
