My name is Hannah. I focus my efforts on helping students learn the critical thinking and writing skills to serve them throughout college and the rest of their lives. In today's competitive academic and job markets, excellent writing and communication are becoming essential, highlighting the need for young writers to equip themselves early with the effective communication tools needed to express their ideas as effectively as possible. Writing is challenging, but putting thoughts on paper word by word doesn't have to be agonizing. My job is to help you get rid of the mental roadblocks hindering you from starting, or from freely thinking through what you seek to express. I see writing as a way to formulate ideas, create meaning, and to uncover your thoughts before converting them into a finished product that is clear and interesting. For this reason, I encourage a lot of reflection on a subject before the writing process even begins. I am experienced in ESL editing and tutoring as well, so if you are struggling to gain full mastery over the English language in your writing and speaking, I can help. About 60% of my work is editing, and the remainder of my work is tutoring and coaching online, mostly via email and phone. Everything is done via distance methods to save you time. My goals as your editor and tutor are threefold: 1. To work with you to set and achieve your academic goals 2. Remove any mental or emotional roadblocks that are keeping you from your full potential 3. Communicate with you in language you understand in order to learn most effectively.
