There are always new photography techniques and trends to learn about and we are constantly working to expand our knowledge of our beloved trade. It's part of the fun of photography!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
If you met my Dad today, the first thing you'd notice is the camera dangling from his neck. As far back as I can remember, on camping trips and hikes through the Rocky Mountains, we would stop and have little lessons about photography technique as my brother and sister and I climbed a boulder to play king of the castle. Back at home, after the film had been developed, we'd sit and delicately pass the prints around (careful not to leave any finger prints) and discuss lighting, posing, framing and composition. These little moments in childhood instilled in me the amount of effort and care it takes to capture a truly great moment.
