Affordable Labor and Moving Services moved my furniture from my house into storage. They would have gotten 5 stars except for the fact that their truck broke down, delaying their start-time. They earned 5 stars for how well they protected my furniture, padding, shrink-wrapping, etc. and for the knowledge, professionalism and hard work of the movers. They were great! In about a month, my new place should be ready to move into, and I definitely plan on using Affordable Labor and Moving Services again.

I needed a quick move and John was able to help me with that. He sent me a quote. I never was given a contract to sign. It was suppose to be a pack and unpack for a set amount. They tried to quit my move in the middle because of a death in the family. I informed them that I had to work the next day, so they tried to finish the move. There were still items left behind that I had to move myself. John informed me that they had 4 professional movers move us. 2 of the guys said this was their 1st day and last day. 3 pieces of my jewelry were missing. They told me that they have no liability towards the missing items.
Affordable Labor and Moving Services's reply
Our experience with Andrea started as a positive one, I made her aware of our liability policy with valuable items, and also let her know to have all items packed before we arrived. All of my employees that were helping Andrea, were employees that have been with my company for at least a year. With the exception of one trainee, who was constantly under supervision. As a standard with our company, new employees are never left alone or unsupervised, and have specific areas of the home that they are not allowed to help with. They are all very professional and strive to get the work done efficiently for our customers. Upon hearing that the items were missing, I conducted a thorough investigation into the situation with each employee individually, and have found no evidence to support her claims against us. While we were working to move items back and forth between the two homes, the customer requested that we leave the door unlocked, so that other places could come and pick up the items she was donating to charity. In order to resolve this situation as professionally as possible, we are taking legal actions against this customer.
