FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I first have to understand the need and come to a agreement on the best way to approach the solution. If it is a large undertaking I break it down into phases, each with a summary of what will be done in the phase and the price that goes with it. Smaller projects I estimate based on the time I feel it will take x the hourly rate for that task. Design fees are higher than Production rate.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After the initial contact, I generally have a no-obligation conversation, usually over the phone but I have traveled to a location if this is a requirement. My goal is to get to know the customer better - learn what they need help with and discuss solutions I can bring to the table. These conversations help with establishing trust, which I think is paramount to both parties. From there I provide written quotes covering the points discussed. I also like keeping customers updated on a regular basis. This helps avoid misunderstanding early in the creative process.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attend webinars on a weekly basis. I find they are the best source for cutting edge information and the experts that put these on are great. I also cultivate content from top sources which I share on my Facebook page.
