Introduction: I have been highly praised at just about any gig I've ever played. I am a natural DJ, mostly self-taught. I have an excellent ear for subtleties in music. I am also highly intelligent, holding a law degree, and highly responsible. If anything goes wrong, you want me there. I have an incredible passion for music. I love to research, listen to and play music. I love thinking of inventive ways to program and blend music. I am currently taking keyboard lessons, and play some guitar, as well. I hired Alan to promote my photographic gallery during the monthly Art Walks in the Design District after seeing him perform at a friends party in July 2012. His expertise and professionalism surpassed all of my expectations from the very first performance. I was especially impressed that he was able to transform my muddy wishes into a playlist that perfectly matched the emotional qualities of my art and work. Gallery visitors commented repeatedly that the ethereal sounds drew them into my space. In my naivety, I had not imagined that the choice of music would have such a powerful effect to attract prospective clients. Alans talent and professionalism is a striking example of the magic that is possible when one has found his true calling.

I have had the pleasure of having Alan DJ my birthday party these past two years! He is the BEST!!!! What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing depends on how far I have to travel, whether I have to bring my own sound system and the size of the group I am playing for. I am definitely not overpriced.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am taking keyboard lessons and constantly learn new skills from my own experimentation, and through working with other DJ's.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I had a passion for music for many years. It took me awhile to follow my dream, but I knew I wanted to DJ years before I started.
