Introduction: Ciao! My name is Andrea Falcone, I’m a professional photographer from Milan now based in Chicago. I have worked as a fashion and portrait photographer for the past 13 years, first as a photographer’s assistant and then as a freelance international photographer with clients in Italy, Belgium, Colombia, Chile and United States. In addition to my technical and professional skills, my arts training in multimedia and digital art at the Accademia di Belle Arti (Milan) and my experience teaching the history of photography in fashion design schools in Milan and Buenos Aires, Argentina. Clients have praised me for my ability to photograph efficiently and effectively while maintaining poise and enthusiasm. I bring this skill and professional demeanor to every photo shoot. My work has been featured in printed and online international magazines. I’m having tried many craft of photography : understanding the qualityes that just a camera lens is able to capture, looking to what is impossible for the eye to percive from the reality. Photography get me in love with the world that I was trying to frame. It gave me the opportunity to explore it meeting different point of view about human’s life’s Always learning trough the eyes of the people that I’ve been photographing. "Making a portrait is reveal the individual before his camera, to transfer the living quality of that individual to his finished print...Not to make road maps but to record the essential truth of the subject; not to show how this person looks, but to show what he is." Edward Weston - Edward Weston's definition of the role of the portrait photographer. "The Portrait in Photography", “For me, the camera is a sketch book, an instrument of intuition and spontaneity.” Henri Cartier-Bresson “In photography there is a reality so subtle that it becomes more real than reality.” Alfred Stieglitz “A very receptive state of mind… not unlike a sheet of film itself – seemingly inert, yet so sensitive that a fraction of a second’s exposure conceives a life in it.” Minor White “In putting images together I become active, and excitement is of another order – synthesis overshadows analysis.” Minor White “We could teach photography as a way to make a living, and best of all, somehow to get students to experience for themselves photography as a way of life.” Minor White "You don't make a photograph just with a camera. You bring to the act of photography all the pictures you have seen, the books you have read, the music you have heard, the people you have loved." Ansel Adams “The painter constructs, the photographer discloses.” Susan Sontag, On Photography
