- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have a specific style and look that I believe to be unique and that people seem to love. When I realized I could create art and manage a photographic business professionally I knew then and there it's what I had to do. I have such a passion for this; it truly drives me.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I specialize in making my clients feel comfortable. I recently did a shoot with a gentleman that told me he really didn't want to be in front of the camera and that he's never been able to smile when having his picture taken. Here's a recommendation he wrote me after his session: "Thank you Andrew. My images look great! This photo shoot was a very good experience for me, on a number of levels. You were very good at helping me relax and be very comfortable with this process; and your complimentary statements and lighthearted demeanor were quick to ease my hesitation and intimidation! Thanks again for the work. It means a great deal to me."
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make your photographic journey about a relationship and a great experience rather than only about price. There will always be someone out there willing to do something for less but at the end of the day, if your relationship with your photographer isn't good, your photos won't be either. I urge you to hire whoever you feel most comfortable with, even if it means not hiring me.
