Introduction: I am a portrait and fine artist offering commissioned fine original oil portraits and art lessons in painting for adults. My classes are in oil and acrylic. Presently, I am teaching at the Palm Beach Gardens Recreation Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Private lessons are available at my studio in Palm Beach Gardens or at your home location.

In this class, we will learn about the medium of oil paints and/or acrylics and how to handle them. We will study how light affects color, value and temperature, so that we can create the effect of light in our paintings. Emphasis will be placed on creating pleasing compositions. Students will work from subjects of their choice and will be encouraged to develop their own original styles to reach personal goals.
Classes are taught in oil and acrylic to adults. Presently, I am teaching at Palm Beach Gardens Recreation Center on Wednesdays, beginning in August, and Mondays, beginning in October. This is a very friendly and supportive environment. Private lessons are available.
Nancy Tilles is an award-winning artist who is well-known for her paintings and portraits. Nancy has been commissioned publicly and privately numerous times. Her paintings are in private collections throughout the country. Many of her images are presently being licensed to appear on various products.
Nancy enjoys exhibiting her work at art festivals where she can meet people and exchange ideas. She has appeared in festivals throughout Florida, including Artigras, Sunfest, Naples Art Fair, and Jupiter Art Fest by the Sea. In 2009, Nancy also participated in The Neptune Art Festival in Virginia Beach.
Originally from New York, Nancy has been living in Palm Beach County for over 30 years. She earned her BFA from the University of Miami and has also studied with renowned artists, including Phillip Pearlstein and Nelson Shanks. She is presently working on commissions and teaching adults who are interested in perfecting their painting skills or learning how to paint for the first time.
Her specialties are portrait painting, coral reefs and marine life, still life, animals, flowers and the natural world.
Nancy creates paintings for private customers. She does not cater to special events.
