FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I meet with each new client for an hour, free of charge, to get an idea of their situation and understand their goals and needs. Based on the scope of work and timeline, we determine an hourly rate or a weekly or monthly retainer.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
What is an EA? Enrolled agent status is the highest credential the IRS awards. Individuals who obtain this elite status must adhere to ethical standards and complete continuing education. EAs (Enrolled Agents) are tax preparers that have passed the special enrollment examination given by the IRS. They can prepare State and out of State returns, individual income taxes, corporate tax returns, non-profit tax returns, partnership tax returns, sales statements, tax audit representation, and sales tax representation. If the need arises for litigation support, EAs are also qualified to provide IRS representation. I have also a bachelor degree in accounting, and a Master degree in Business Administration.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
When I was studying Economics in school, it was recommended that I get an Accounting degree on the side. I completed both and then added a Master's in Business Administration. I have been in finance since day one of my professional life. I initially worked for Fortune 100 companies (e.g. international controller at Disney) before becoming a CFO for small businesses and entrepreneurs.
