Let me begin by saying, before taking dance lessons from Brittany, I had no formal prior dance instruction. In fact, I didn't even know what ballroom dancing was, or even if I could do it. I have now been taking dance lessons from Brittany for several months. Not knowing what to expect when I showed up for my first one-hour lesson or even if I would click with the teacher, Brittany put me at ease from the start. In fact, I felt so positive after the first hour, I asked if I could continue that evening into a second hour of instruction and she said, sure! Brittany is patient, passionate, personable, professional, persistent, and extremely positive in her teaching methods and styles. In fact, as a result of feeling comfortable with her, she makes me laugh sometimes in the words she uses to critque and motivate me. She has a way of critiquing something that I'm not doing well by spinning it into a motivational comment to get it right and reminding me of my "muscle memory". She is an accredited dance instructor and very knowledgeable about many ballroom dances, both as a follower and leader, to teach both men and women. She is also very sharp, has lots of personality and poise, and believes in her students as she attempts to instill her passion for dancing that she so loves. Also, the cost of her lessons are very reasonable and her schedule is flexible as she tries to work with yours. It is amazing how our paths crossed as she was exactly what I was looking for. I would not hestitate to recommend her to anyone.
