FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When someone contacts me for resume writing, I start off with their existing resume, if they have one. I like to speak with my clients over the phone if possible to discuss what they are looking for and provide them some samples to get an idea of what they like visually. If phone conversations aren't an option, email or Skype can also work. Once I get a good idea of the direction I'm going, I provide a first draft for you to review and make sure I'm capturing your goals appropriately. I usually perform 1-2 additional rounds of revision, but am open to as many as it takes to get you the stellar resume you deserve.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My undergraduate degree is in English and I have worked professionally as a writer and editor.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started off writing resumes when I got laid off from a job I had for almost 10 years. As I worked on my own resume, some colleagues who were let go at the same time asked me to look at their resumes and make suggestions. Things grew from there and now I get to help people from around the world!
