I found this trainer on Thumbtack. I have been working with Giancarlo for a few weeks now. I have a few health issues and he is really understanding of this. It was important for me to find a trainer that would motivate and encourage me but also a trainer that wouldn't push me when I needed a break. This trainer has been able to find a balance with this while helping me to meet my fitness goals, while also taking into consideration my health issues. He is more concerned about listening to your needs and goals than anything and helping to reach them. This trainer really cares which I think is important.

RESPECT. That is the word that comes to mind when talking about my personal trainer, Carlos. I have been a client of Carlos' since December, 2014. RESPECT is what Carlos has for his clients and for the personal training profession.. I am a 75 year old grandmother. As with most people, I occasionally have physical issues. Carlos works with any limitaitons I have for however long I have them. He challenges me sometimes without my even knowing it (for example, increasing the weighs) He is a pleasure to work with..I never want to miss a session with him. Since December, I am much stronger and more confident in my ability to perform physical tasks. For example, last week in Chicago, my son wanted to move a large gas grill. I told him that I would help him move it up some stairs. He did not believe me. I helped him lift the large grill and move it. He was quite impressed. I RESPECT Carlos for his knowledge of personal training, his knowledge of healthy eating and exercise and his knowledge of how to help me improve my strength and my overall well being. Five stars for Carlos!

I believe Giancarlo is a very knowledgable trainer with a great personality. I have seen his evolution as a trainer and as human being; to the point that he is one of a few in the fitness industry that treats the business with respect. He is a very reliable person full of qualities which he applies into his training method helping his clients to reach their goals in short periods of time. He is the type of trainer that before taking any hands on at the gym, he will perform a general evaluation gathering your exercise history, health issues, body injuries and a basic nutrition assessment as well as a body composition. I have been in the industry for about 12 years and I can assure you that if you chose to train with him you will be in the hands of a very professional trainer that nowadays are very difficult to find.

Giancarlo is very dedicated and passionate trainer and it shows. He has always been very professional with me and I feel fortunate that I am training with him. I just started working out again and he has made it very easy for me to pick up where I left off. He is always on time and always gives me his full attention when training.

Giancarlo is patient and really client-oriented. He has trained me for over 3 months and has continued to support me with getting the results that I want. I have had an increase in muscle mass the first two months that I started training with him(1-2 inch biceps, 0.5 inch thigh). When I was no longer making gains, he sat with me and went over the essentials of fitness (eating, rest, and physical activity) to determine what was missing. He helped me create a meal plan that worked with my schedule and food interests. He continued to train me and also provided me support in finding other areas of physical fitness that I wanted to make gains in (such as overall strength, stamina, tone) without doubting my ability to pursue my goal in muscle mass increase. He is punctual, flexible, client-oriented, vision-driven, and very committed to his work as a trainer. The only thing I think he could improve on is maintaining organization of client schedules (sometimes he may forget I had a training day with him, but he will text to confirm or would text for reminder). Overall, I have had an excellent experience with him and I recommend him for anyone who is either new to physical training and also to those who truly are committed to getting results from their workouts.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

    Understand that certifications don't mean that a trainer is qualified to train you. Qualified and Certified are not interchangeable. Ask your trainer what their credentials are and find out if they are from a reputable organization such as the ACSM or NSCA, the only two truly non-profit certifying training organizations.
