Introduction: The following are recent reviews: DJ Mikey did an amazing job at our 40th birthday party. His playlist was spot-on for the audience. Mikey and Boutique DJs are extremely professional. Mikey showed up early, was ready to spin at party time, stayed late, and was a pleasure to work with. I'd hire him again and recommend him to anyone looking for a top-notch DJ. ---------------------------- DJ Eddy Alexander of Boutique DJs is the best! Eddy was the DJ at our SF wedding last month and let me tell you, he was amazing. He was super easy to work with, fun, and really kept the party going with a great playlist he and my husband compiled! The dance floor was packed all night! He was exactly what we we're looking for in that he graciously did a couple intro's but honestly just let the music do most of the work! Everything about Boutique DJs was great. Super easy and helpful staff in making contact with a DJ, payment, and playlist development. Thanks to the entire team, especially Eddy, we had a bumping, awesome wedding night! -------------------------------- We booked DJ Eddy for our wedding reception on Saturday 11/16 and he was great! Very personable and friendly, he gracefully handled all requests from our guests. Our curfew at The Lodge in Sonoma was 11 p.m. but everyone kept dancing until later, and our party had to get kicked out of the room before the music stopped! The booking and payment process were also very smooth and professional. ---------------------------------- Chris from Boutique DJs was amazing! He was so nice and did a fabulous job incorporating our many genres of faves. We had a small wedding but it was important to us that at some point in the evening, everyone would feel the need to dance to one of their favorites! Chris did a great job doing just that! He played everything from oldies to Top 40 and took requests throughout the evening! He definitely made the dance party, and I've received multiple compliments about how great the music was! ------------------------------- We recently booked Boutique DJs for our wedding in September 2013 in Saint Helena. We were introduced to this vendor through our caterer. When a trusted vendor recommends another vendor, it is a good sign! We worked with owners, Alex and Josh, to coordinate the details. We were most impressed with the great communication and customer service. Communication was always timely and clear. They were also flexible in accommodating our requests (from music to setup to budget). An added plus was that they were familiar with our venue, so they were able to make suggestions for setups that would work best. Overall, great service made the planning process easy! ------------------------------------- We hired Boutique DJs after they deejayed my brother/sister in law's wedding in Healdsburg three years ago. At that wedding, literally no one left the dance floor once the music started playing, and we wanted that same feeling for our wedding. Josh Olds deejayed our wedding in St. Helena three weeks ago, and he was absolutely amazing, extremely easy to work with and played a great mix of music. He kept our entire family, friends, and parents' friends dancing the entire time, and everyone left saying how great the music was. Thank you Boutique & Josh Olds for being so fabulous! -------------------------------------- Scott was amazing for our wedding in Sonoma this September. He listened to our suggested playlist, but then also took some liberties and mixed in things that everyone absolutely loved. Multiple guests commented on how great it was to have an actual DJ that mixes songs instead of just plays songs. There are no awkward breaks in the music and mixing songs together to make a really fun beat. I knew that he nailed it when I saw my parents' friends, who came from England and are pretty posh, seriously breaking it down all the way until the very last song. Seeing 70 year olds rock out to Avicii, Snoop, and Calvin Harris was a major highlight of our wedding. --------------------------------------- We booked DJ CAMS (Scott Campbell) through Boutique DJs for our wedding party up in Sonoma. Scott spins all over at clubs in SF and Vegas, so I had a feeling that we'd be in good hands. He was great about incorporating songs that we wanted to hear, while also creatively mixing them with other songs. The dance floor was packed all night and our guests loved it. Highly recommended! ------------------------------------- Boutique DJs was introduced to me by my wedding planner (Kelly from A Savvy Event). DJ Vaughn Wooster was our DJ for the day, and he was great! In the beginning, I was worried that our wedding might be boring for a DJ because we didn't want a dance floor. The both of us don't particularly like dancing, and our guests would rather mingle than dance. He was very understanding and assured us that it would be fine as he has deejayed for events where there was no dancing. We are so glad he got all the specific songs we wanted for our ceremony, intro and cake cutting. For the reception, we gave him a list of approved and banned songs. We also let him run with our approved list, and he did a great job filling in the gaps. Alex was also great! She handled all the logistics and coordination and was very helpful with the process. She also responds to email super fast. There was a little bump in the beginning of planning but she sorted it out quick. Overall, it was a pleasure working with Boutique DJs. We are so glad we got them for our wedding. ------------------------------------------ My husband and I got married at a private winery in Sonoma last weekend, and Eddy Alexander absolutely killed it both on the dance floor and at dinner as our DJ and throughout the ceremony as our sound technician. From start to finish, our experience with Boutique DJs was fantastic. Alex handled all the logistics and coordination on the front-end, and Eddy Alexander delivered day-of at the wedding. Leading up to the wedding, Alex was attentive, thorough, organized, and friendly. She provided helpful reminders ahead of payment and song list deadlines and kept us informed throughout the DJ prep process. At the wedding itself, our actual DJ, Eddy Alexander, was personable, responsive, and energetic. At dinner, he played a wonderful mix of ambient lounge music and 50s pop standards (Sinatra, Nat King Cole). During the reception, he riffed off the music recs. My husband and I had provided and had our guests up and dancing the entire night. Unlike a lot of wedding DJs, Eddy stayed off the mic and let the music do the talking, definitely what my husband and I wanted in a wedding DJ. Overall, we have nothing but love for boutique DJs. They are total professionals who are warm and personable as well, and we'd highly recommend them for any event. ----------------------------------------- DJ Chris Fox is an amazing DJ! He deejayed our wedding at Fort Mason and kept our guests dancing all night. He really knew how to read the crowd and checked in with us before the wedding to make sure we were all set. He played all the songs we asked for and is a really nice guy as well. Thanks Chris! Alex at Boutique DJs was also great to work with and helped get us organized and set up with Chris!
