Brian's Guitar Lessons

Introduction: I regularly hear feedback from many respected blues guitarists on the Chicago scene, say things like "there's nobody that plays like you - your style is completely unique in this town, and I love it". Also, aside to specializing in blues, I have a few very young guitar students who are starting right at the beginning. I get a real kick out of teaching younger students due to their eagerness to learn and very sharp learning curve. It's truly an honor to be someone's first guitar teacher - it's a fabulous opportunity to get the (very important) basics right like the way the guitar should be held, the angles of hands, wrists, arms, etc..... these things REALLY matter, as I started off with 8 years of traditional classical guitar lessons from a teacher who studied at a respected music school in London. When I made the transition from classical to electric, it was relatively easy for me, as I'd been taught the basics RIGHT! :-) A student's face lighting up when I've taught them something, they've practiced it, then they master it for that first time :-)
