Introduction: An image is so powerful, and what we see can have a deep affect on our mood and thought patterns. So the right image can really impact our workplace, home, and all areas of our lives. My goal is to create the best possible image for the task at hand, while consciously choosing the most ecological and ethical materials and methods to create beautiful murals for exterior and interior spaces. I only use no-VOC, nontoxic paints for interiors and illustrations because it is safe for our health and our environment. Transform your walls with color and inspirational scenes, create a sacred space in your home, or hire me to illustrate a unique gift, poster, storybook characters, etc. Just give me a general idea and I'll whip up a sketch for you to approve. I can come to your location or work from my studio.

Carla and I had a conversation about the theme and content of a mural that would embody my passion for kayaking the Florida rivers with their abundant wildlife and plantlife. Returning from a trip I was informed the mural was finished. Upon turning the corner I put my gaze on the river scene and I was immediately drawn into the riverscape and particularly the lifelike Manatees looking back at me. Now everyday I can say hello to my big, lovable water puppies and put myself in my kayak as I do my paddle meditation. Thank you Carla, great job !!

great artist with an eye for curves, images of nature, and female figures. environmentally concsious too, using non-toxic paints and using a cargo bicycle to get around and carry everything. very friendly and lacking drama

Carla is very technically skilled, but this is only a bonus! The true value in Carla's art is that she works from her center, imbuing each piece with life. She has a real talent for communicating through her work, and her style is unique and bold, as she actively avoids cliche. Truly amazing work from a truly amazing person!!

I have an outdoor sunflower on my courtyard wall that is glorious. It blends well with the area and is realistic (oversized). Thank you Carla for making it.

What types of customers have you worked with?
I specialize in organic forms (such as people, animals, plants, landscapes, etc). Though I can paint realistically, I enjoy a more creative approach to my images, adding a subtle tweek of exaggeration to invoke movement and life to the form.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
It's always good to know about your artist, their style, and how they can work with your project. See their portfolio and see if they specialize in what you're looking for. Do you want lots of bright color? A more modern look? Linear, cartoon-ish or something more realistic?
