FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Technology is always evolving so you have to keep up, change, and/or adapt. I watch tons of tutorials on Photoshop tricks, workflow, photo editing, photo manipulation, biographies of specific photographers for inspiration, technique, lighting..., just about anything photo related, no matter how technical or non-technical. It's a matter of learning something everyday to make yourself better.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've always been fascinated by the visual arts. I was inspired early on by celebrity photographer Herb Ritts and well known black and white commercial photographer Bruce Weber. I loved the idea of storytelling with images, like photojournalism, but with fashion and environments. My first love was architecture, but as my hobby as a photographer began to grow more and more, it suddenly became its own being.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common jobs I get hired for is actor head shots and portraits. I'm doing more corporate & business portraits as well. Special events, live band coverage and nightlife are also common jobs, and fashion look books. I'm venturing into architectural photography now. I guess my love for architecture is coming back again!
