FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
YES! You never know everything about your field. Digital is constantly evolving. Software updates. Amazing photographers out there to learn from every day! I attend conferences and tradeshows, watch tons of CreativeLive.com and read PDN, Photo Pro and various books by photographers. I always learn something new in photography, since no lighting situation is ever the same (esp when daylight is involved). You are forever chasing light!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Fell in love with capturing images as a child. I learned on old film cameras and spent countless hours developing my own film, printing my own work in college. I was classically trained as a painter and draftsmen, and was hooked on photography when I developed my first roll of film at 18 and saw the image appear in the bath in the darkroom. It was MAGICAL! I love, love, love B/W tri-x 400 film and tmax. Gorgeous tones. Nothing like it in digital. Still have tons of film cameras in my studio. But sadly focus on digital (but will shoot film for those whom are interested)!!
