What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Many projects are fee for service. Editing starts at $10 per page. Résumés are $200. Grants and special projects are either negotiated as a fee for service or at a percentage of the award amount.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I begin with a free consultation to determine my customers needs and their vision for the outcome of the project. Then I begin the necessary research and information gathering to develop a plan for composing the required documents. Finally, I submit my writing to vigorous review and editing, including that of colleagues. Once the customer is satisfied with the final product, I am satisfied.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been an English teacher for over 10 years. I hold a bachelor's degree in English. I have also worked as a free lance editor and writer since 2001.
