Introduction: Xixi Xing was born and raised in China. When she was sixteen, she had an amazing opportunity to come to America as an exchange student. During that year, she joined school’s drama club and performed three musical plays. Since then, she had decided to be a filmmaker. Three years later, she followed her dream and came to San Francisco to study motion picture and television. This year, she will graduate from Academy of Art University with a BFA degree. During school years, she studied all kinds of areas in film making, such as directing, producing, editing, sound recording, lighting, special makeup, and acting. She also directed and participated more than ten short films. With these wonderful experiences, she now has more confidence in pursuing her dream. As art itself gets inspiration from life, Xixi’s inspiration comes from all kinds of things too. She loves reading books, listening to music and watching movies with different genres. She can always learn new things and get new ideas during these activities. She has also created five original scripts based on her own story. In the future, Xixi would like to work at a small studio or local TV station at San Francisco. She would also like to travel around to see more of the world. Eventually, she would love to work for big major movies and create new dreams for everyone.
