Introduction: Helping people and companies understand their IT systems, make educated choices with IT, and have IT that works for them for the long run. Nothing stresses me more than a company that has seen numerous woes with technology. It happens to everyone, but I like to get people going in the right direction and be their long-term contact if they have needs or questions.

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

Clarity is a mixed hat of work related to IT and online marketing. We perform a lot of on-call IT support with companies where they call us when needed. This could be for anything from a computer and software issue to a network or server outage. Usually after an initial meeting or support response they realize the importance of having their systems monitored, maintenanced and managed to ensure they are working properly. This is where our Managed IT Service comes in. With this service, we become their outsourced IT department for remote or on-site support of thier IT systems. Most people are surprised about how inexpensive this service is for businesses.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

When you are talking with the professional on the phone or in person, have prepared a serious of questions about your IT systems and what you're looking to accomplish. The IT professional should be willing to spend time talking with you and answering those questions, without any charge. If they keep it short or try to charge you just to talk, there is a problem. They need to be able to listen fully to your needs so they can be respond properly, whether the response is verbal or with action.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

That technology, especially in a business environment, is so much more complex than people realize. On the front end, we see graphics and menus, but the real grit of dealing with IT problems can be in complex trees and line-by-line command interfaces. Even a simple function like sending an email in Outlook requires dozens of program services to be running simultaneously with thousands of lines of codes executing.
