Clear Oak Construction does really top-notch, dependable work. Mike strikes me as someone very knowledgeable and experienced in all carpentry-related matters, as well as other aspects of construction. He is also good at solving problems and great at communicating, including responding quickly, having the patience to answer lots of questions, and can explain things in a way that someone (like myself) who knows nothing about carpentry and construction can understand. Clear Oak Construction designed and installed an access hatch to allow me to access the attic in my garage. They also repaired the molding and metal trim surrounding my garage door, which had been severely damaged from a run-in with my car. When I first contacted Clear Oak, Mike responded quickly and made time right away to come out and give me an estimate. He bid out the work at a very reasonable rate and his crew got the job done right the first time around. I will definitely use Clear Oak Construction again next time I need a skilled carpenter, or have a renovation or construction project.

Mike and his crew helped me ready my home to put on the market to sell. The house is vintage as is the plumbing, electrical etc. There were scores of things that needed fixing but Mike guided me to prioritize and also, what home inspectors would be looking for. His knowledge of restoration and renovation and honesty are fantastic!

Mike and his team did several jobs for us, he tore down and completely rebuilt the rear porch, removed a wooden side door and installed a steel door, that others told us could not be done without having the door specially made. He removed gutters on the porch roof, replaced rotted wood and installed flashing, it looks so much better. We are very pleased with the work done and Mike and his crew were very professional, all work was completed in a week's time and we will surely call him again for other jobs. Mike is a pleasant and fair guy, unlike so many other contractors. The only thing that could have improved the experience would be to have more money so that every job needed could have been done at this time. They were on time and worked until quitting time, they take pride in what they do. D L
