FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, there are always new programs to learn! I've recently began developing characters in Adobe Photoshop and am considering purchasing and taking classes in Cinema 4D software.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've been curious about animation since my dad brought me to an animation film festival when I was a kid. I saw the original Simpsons short and a slew of other cool, unusual productions. I realized that animation was more than a sleek Disney picture. I began experimenting with simple animations during and after college. I self-taught myself Toon Boom Studio and After Effects. The thing about animation is that you're never done learning. There are always new techniques and, more commonly, new programs. I have a lot still have a lot of animation knowledge to acquire!
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I usually deal with independent producers who have a short comedy sketch idea they want to animate. I've also produced a lot of video editing projects, such as trailers and short documentary. These usually have a motion graphics/typography element to them as well.
