About
Are you being sued for really old credit card debt? Here’s a defense: The statute of limitations (SOL) for a delinquent non-student loan debt is the limited time frame within which a creditor like a credit card company must file a lawsuit against you. Generally, this period starts when the debtor becomes delinquent, and there is no activity on your account. Now, just because the SOL has expired on a particular debt does not mean that you are immune from suit. Rather, if you are sued, the statute of limits can be used to defend the lawsuit. It is a complete defense, which means that if you are correct in interposing this defense, and this can be tricky especially when you are being sued for credit card debt, the lawsuit will be dismissed against you forever. Now, please note that if there has already been a lawsuit resulting in a judgment, that judgment has a separate statute of limitations, which in New York is six (6) years for a contract or credit card lawsuit. If you would like us to do a free evaluation of your circumstances to see if you can apply this defense, contact us now, and let us get creative on your behalf before your creditors cause more aggravation and pain to you and your family. Here is about Lee and Associates: Note that as consumer advocates, we vacate default judgments, stop bank account restraints, stop wage garnishments, and defend lawsuits for the little people being sued by Cohen and Slamowitz, Midland Funding, LR Credit, Capital One Bank, Rubin and Rothman, Palisades Collections, etc. Note, further, that this is attorney advertising; therefore, you need to be informed that all cases are unique, and past results are only indicative of possible outcomes in your particular matter. We also negotiate debts. Each case is unique, and past results cannot possibly guarantee future results.

I liked this company very much because I had three collection cases and this company wrote three cease and desist letters for me and not only did they buy me a lot of time to work something out with these accounts but I was able to settle them for more than half of what I originally owed.

jeff beck is not the attorney here. he is the manager who operates the place. he quite knowledgeable and is sort of a traffic cop in this busy office. He was able to assign an attorney to me who solved my problem within about 10 days by convincing Citibank to release my bank account and make a responsible deal with me to pay off my debt. And in anther credit card case, this same attorney for Mldland Funding to just walk away from a $9,000 debt over some technicality over how the original papers were delivered yo me, or, more accurately, did not believe the summons to me in the first place. So its all good for me!
