was in a pickle. I was in an altercation with my girlfriend in Placer County. I knew I needed help with the intricacies of the law and I needed a tough lawyer who would not belittle me, take my money and run or not fight tooth and nail for me. I contacted David Bonilla due to the reviews I had read online at that time. (2012). He was brutally honest after his assessment of the situation. Two years in jail, 3 years of probation, 45 days of a work program and a felony charge. In my mind my career was over. However, after speaking to the DA, David had managed to lower the charge from a felony to a misdemeanor. He also persuaded the DA to reduce the work program to 35 days and the probation to informal. After a year of going back and forth with a very stubborn judge and the probation department, he persuaded the county to enable me to complete a batterer's program online. This specific step (online program) was essential as any charge curtailed any threat towards my career and I could continue to travel for work. It was also the very first time in the history of Placer County judgements that this was allowed.
Mr. Bonilla is an outstanding lawyer of whom went above and beyond. He kept me in the loop in every turn and he fought hard for me. He is a lawyer who hates to lose and that is why I'm writing this review. His passion for winning came through and his knowledge of the law is exemplary. It was because of his knowledge he actually checkmated the DA and judge in allowing me to complete an online batterer's course and it was painfully obvious that the judge did not want to allow it.
I will complete the batterer's course and the work program. After a year and a half I will use Mr. Bonilla's services to have my case dismissed and thereafter, expunged.
I have and will continue to recommend David Bonilla to everyone and anyone who has been accused of a crime.

I would recommend Mr. Bonilla for criminal cases. I hired this law office after being arrested fro drug possession. Being a professional, I was embarrassed. Mr. Bonilla made me feel comfortable and treated me with respect. He knows the law very well. He helped me tremendously, and I was able to maintain my lifestyle during this ordeal.
