FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is very simple! Sessions are $350 and that includes a custom, on-location portrait session usually lasting from 1-2 hours as well as a $200 print credit. It includes an in-person consultation to discuss wardrobe choices, locations, and look at products. After the session it includes an ordering session that allows us to look at your professionally retouched images, choose your favorites, and design any products. At that time you'll be able to use your print credit on your favorite products so you can proudly display images in your home.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I take classes every few months to learn new techniques and my portfolio is reviewed at least once a year by professionals that don't tell you your work is good if it is isn't. It was a tough pill to swallow when I was starting out, but I am so thankful since my work continues to improve. Clients are always amazed that I produce such beautiful images, but still insist on having my portfolio critiqued.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Our daughter is a competitive gymnast and I have always loved taking pictures and scrapbooking. When she was younger, the coaches were talking about having her compete much sooner than we anticipated. You aren't allowed to use a flash at meets, so I had to learn how to shoot without it. Since I am a perfectionist, there were so many things about photography that were interesting to me. It was much less stressful once I learned how to use my equipment properly, and now I get beautiful images of my family at any time.
