AWESOME!!!! Krista was so great! She made herself extremely available at the beginning and throughout the process of my blanket. I just received it and it's better than I could imagine. I would and have recommended her to my so sorry sisters for their blankets. If you're thinking about working with her, please do! You won't regret it and you'll absolutely LOVE the final product!!! I surely did!

Krista made 2 t-shirt quilts for me and she was very good at communicating, sending pictures of the potential layouts, and very patient at listening to my comments and suggestions. She was very willing to rearrange things as I wanted a number of times. When she discovered a couple of left-over shirts, she made 2 pillows with them for free. The quilts and pillows are high quality and I look forward to enjoying them for years as keepsake items. Thanks!

Krista is an amazing, warm hearted, patient and diligent person. She understands the importance and seriousness of her responsibility when taking one's memorable items into her care. Not to mention her level of work exceeded my expectations, which is not easy to do considering I have a tendency to be a bit anal when it comes to other people handling my personal belongings. Well worth the cost. Krista is great!!!

I mailed Krista a box full of tshirts, worried that there was way too many but Krista made all of them work! I received my blanket in the mail a few days ago and absolutely love it! Krista is very good at replying and sending pictures of her work/layout. The blanket is perfect and looks great! I am definitely going to use Krista again with all of my college t-shirts. I ordered a Tshirt blanket from Krista. I sent her a box full of shirts and she created an awesome blanket. She's great on responding to questions, and making sure the layout is exactly what you want. She's professional, her prices are reasonable, and even accepts payments. I love my blanket! Krista was a pleasure to work with! She's very flexible and incredibly helpful with every step in the process, from which tshirts to send and how many, to the layout and the backing. She was very patient with me as well, when I took a little while to send the shirts to her. She makes herself very available to customers which I think is great.

Excellent experience getting t-shirt blanket done for my son. This is the 1st time I have dealt with Krista. Just last night I received my second beautiful t-shirt blanket from Krista Lawhon. The first one was for my husband, Jason. It is a memorial blanket made of t-shirts given to him by his best friend who passed away unexpectedly. Her work is meticulous and heartfelt. When we snuggle with our kids in this blanket, Jason likes to say that his friend helps keep us warm.
The second blanket is from a medley of shirts I have collected over the years from concerts, schools, and happy times with loved ones (including my late father). Some of these shirts have my own artwork screenprinted on, and simply couldn't be washed anymore! I am exstatic to have this blanket of memories preserved in a way that is useful, accessable, and well put together.
I have found that Krista is a talented, intelligent, and hard-working woman who is wonderful to work with. I highly recommend Krista to anyone who would like to have their memories preserved. Another thing that is great about Krista is her conscientousness. She is a very earth friendly team player. I say this because she sends her scaps on to be reused into hand made rugs, and she happily promotes fellow crafters. Zero waste!

Krista did an absolute amazing job on the T-shirt blanket for my husband! My husband saw a T-shirt blanket at one of our friends houses and thought it was such a cool and unique gift! I knew that is what I wanted to get him for Christmas, so I began researching blanket makers. I found Krista and she was so great at all of the communication and made sure that I loved the design before she made it. My husband loved it!!! It was such a cool gift!

Krista did an amazing job sewing a one-of-a-kind quilt for each of my teenage daughters. They love wrapping up in what has now become their favorite blanket. I love how Krista creatively used special pieces like their bathrobes from when they were toddlers, silk scarves, sweater from their Papa who has passed, sweatpants, and boxer shorts. Krista was very flexible. She sent photo's of the potential layout to make sure we were happy and gladly made changes that we requested. We recommend her to all our friends AND ... her prices are the most resonable we found! Plus she upcycles the fabric scraps to someone who crochets them into rugs. I highly recommend Krista if you are looking for an awesome use of your memory pieces - like favorite t-shirts.

Providing a review of Krista's work shall be difficult due both to space limitations and a general inability on my behalf to adequately portray the gratitude I have for her and the wonderful work she did. Krista fashioned two blankets and a pillow for me, all consisting - by way of favorite shirts (and a few ball caps) worn over the years - of memories related to my father. In every process - from the numerous design questions had, to re-arrangement visuals requested, to receipt of the finished products - Krista was communicative, timely and extremely professional. Her attention to detail and design is noteworthy, as is her thoughtfulness and creativity. Whether you desire to wrap yourself in a blanket of your own personal history or, perhaps, desire (as I did) to do so with the stories, memories and honorific history of a loved one passed, I recommend Krista without hesitation.

I happily received my Tshirt blanket yesterday and couldn't be happier with the results! It is very professionally sewn and completed with no stitches in sight. It is a great memory piece to cuddle up with, having shirts from so many special places I've visited or experienced in my lifetime. I highly recommend Krista who keeps you updated with photos and progress along the way. She even sends hugs!!

A long time ago, I started saving our daughter's t-shirts from soccer, cross country, summer camps, school events and other special moments with the idea that one day, I would make them into a memory quilt for her dorm room at college. The idea and intention were there - but not the time, or the skill, or the patience to put something special together. Our daughter graduated from college already in 2007, but when I read about Krista's service to take my collection of t-shirts and create a professional memory blanket, I knew that I had to jump on this opportunity!
I contacted Krista by email, and knew immediately that I found the right person to take care of this project: she wrote me back within hours, answered all my questions and gave tips on how to prepare the t-shirts for her use, all with a lovely personal touch. (I've not met her in person since she lives on the other side of the USA but we quickly became buddies via email!) After shipping the t-shirts to her (yes, it was hard to send these memories through the mail!) she let me know that she had received them. She then sent me images of the lay-out of the blanket before stitching it together, and asked if this was what I had in mind.
And then, yesterday, the box with the finished blanket arrived and I am really VERY HAPPY. She did a great job with the lay-out, the craftsmanship is impeccable, and I know that our daughter will treasure this unique gift forever. Thank you Krista, for communicating so clearly throughout the process, and for doing such a wonderful job for us! I will tell all my friends about your company and wish you much success as you grow your business.

I had the pleasure of working with Krista on my 1st Tshirt blanket. She is awesome! I highly recommend her- not only does she keep you up to date as to what she is doing but will also provide recommendations. The blanket quality is very nice as well. We are very happy with what she has done in turning our old tshirts into something we can use and keep for a long time. You will not be disappointed with her or her work!

I ordered a blanket for my 3 year old as some of his shirts I just couldn't stand to give away and he hadn't yet developed an attachment to a blankie. Krista did an amazing job! She kept me in the loop the entire time as the blanket was being made, allowing me to visually see it's progress, as well as make special request. The size was perfect, I customized that as well. As soon as my son saw it he was in love! The quality is sweatshop perfect! No loose seams, or cat hairs, or odd smells (yes I feared that). I'm ordering another one for my much older and very jealous teenage son!

Krista created - and that is the best word - created - since she is extraordinarily creative ... anyway she created a blanket/quilt for us using various items of clothing from our daughter who passed away suddenly at the young age of 30. It is impossible to describe in words how beautiful it is. You would need to see it in person but I can assure you that you would agree it is the most beautiful quilt you have ever seen. It is going to give my husband and I something tangible to hold onto to remember our girl without leaving all of her special things locked away in the back of a closet. Thank you Krista for brightening our world.

MY BLANKET (FROM MY DAUGHTERS OLD CLOTHES I SAVED) IS SO TOTALLY AMAZING!
I WAS IN COMPLETE AWE ONCE I RECIEVED THE FINISHED PRODUCT.
SHE KEPT ME UP TO DATE THE ENTIRE PROCESS WITH PICTURES AND EMAILS........HOWEVER THE FINISHED PRODUCT BLOWS THE PICTURES OUT OF THE WATER.
I AM HAVING HER DO ANOTHER ONE FOR MY OTHER DAUGHTER TOO! SHE DOES GREAT WORK!

OMG and WOW! The t-shirt blanket I had made for my daughter is BEAUTIFUL! She loves it so much! Memories of soccer, karate and spring break all wrapped in one! Krista was able to make such a beautiful blanket for me to give to my boyfriend as a Christmas gift in such short notice, and the look on his face when he opened it was priceless! He absolutely loved it! She allowed me to be involved in the whole process- sending me images as she went along, the layout of the shirts, and if I wanted to change anything. She provided different alternatives for the lining of the blanket as well. I couldn't be happier with the end result, and I have already recommended her to several people for gift ideas. I have always wanted a blanket made from my old t-shirts. I have been keeping them for about 10 years to find someone that could do it. I was able to find custom t shirt blankets by Krista Lawhon. I was very impressed with the quality and accuracy of the finished product. She sent me updates daily to make sure I wanted the correct layout. The whole process took like 3 weeks from the day I shipped the t-shirts to the day I received the blanket. I was truly impressed and was showing my blanket to everyone.

Krista did a wonderful job on a blanket for my husband! Krista is Incredibly Talented!
I sent her a box of Kappa Delta t-shirts and she turned them into something truly amazing!
From the layout to the detailed stitching, everything totally exceeded my expectations!
It is my FAVORITE blanket, which I use everyday!

I was referred to Krista by a friend. She is AWESOME!! I sent her a box of 30 or t-shirts and she made it into something wonderful. From the beginning to the end, she was in touch by e-mail, g-chat, and sending pictures. I was excited to see the finished blanket... it was amazing, it definetely exceeded my expectations. I had no idea how much I would come to really love the blanket that Krista made for me. My old shirts are kind of like tattoos, They immediately remind me of a specific time in my life or an occasion that had a big impact on me. To see them arranged and crafted into a legitimate durable blanket allowed me to re-appreciate all those moments and memories. Bonus, It is a great conversation piece. Old Bands I used to go see, some of the shirts I designed myself. Krista gave me back so much more than just a blanket.
