DJ Rubia was the DJ and MC for our wedding reception. Preparation: We met with her before the wedding in person to discuss how we envisioned the night going. We had a lot to plan for as DJ Rubia was also our MC and needed to be aware of the evening's full schedule. After our meeting, she followed up with regular emails to fine tune the schedule and to make sure nothing was overlooked. A+ Show Time: The night went off without a hitch. The music was amazing and complimented the mood we were trying to set at different stages of the evening (chill mixer, tasteful dinner, high energy dancing). A++ Having DJ Rubia involved in our reception and on point helping plan the evening was instrumental in our celebration! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and worth every penny!

DJ Rubia was awesome. She did a silent disco for my birthday at our house. Everyone had a smashing great time, and the neighbors slept silently. She was on time and played deep into the evening, making sure everyone heard what they need to get down on the dance floor.

Dj Rubia played at my wedding reception and 40th Birthday party and she was awesome both times. She totally handled getting all her equipment to each venue on time, was very professional, plus she is super fun. At our wedding reception she kept the dance floor full all night, reading the crowd and playing what people wanted. She was more than willing to play what we requested and filled in where needed. At my birthday, she started off with a more chill cocktail set (as requested) and then later brought on the dance tunes and filled up the dance floor. She is an terrific DJ and a great person and I couldn't recommend her more highly.

Rubia is an amazing DJ! I have asked her to play twice at different parties and both time she was awesome! She took so much care and got to know our expectations. She played fabulous dance-worthy songs and brought into the party the genius and hilarious concept of silent disco, by giving us all a pair of wireless headphones which picked up the songs that she was playing. And that was when the silly dancing and out of tune singing started happening! It was pretty obvious that everyone there was having a great time! Courtney was flexible, accommodating, kind, fun, and a true professional. I can't wait to have another party and ask her to be the DJ again.

I have worked with DJ Rubia on 5 different occasions over the past few years and she is great! she has DJ'd a range of holiday parties for adults and birthday parties for kids. she is always prepared, plays great music and has a ton of energy. I highly recommend her!

I have a DJ booth in my living room and practice at home. Also, I love exploring new music on various music sites, at shows, and through my DJ friends.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been obsessed with music since I was four and danced around my room listening to records. My friends urged me to become a professional DJ, I learned how to mix from a top San Francisco DJ, and my business took off. Playing music is really fun and I love that my clients are always so excited about the crowd's reaction and my professionalism.
