Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: The best tool I have is my ability to listen my clients wants and needs and offer viable ideas within their budget. My 3D drawings enable clients to see possibilities before they happen. As the saying goes a picture is worth a thousand words. I love helping clients create their perfect space whether it's by researching options through drawings or product acquisition.

Karen Carlson presented my husband and I beginning plans for a remodel. She helped address the challenges of our exist property. Her work is focused , and timely, and she strove to understand our personal needs and challenges.

Karen's design expertise and her listening skills and patience were key to reconciling the differences in taste among family members and in dealing with extreme challenges of a very strange property line and space limitations. She worked so well with our family from conception to finished product, helped me communicate with our contractor and helped me through my numerous points of indecision, to result in a fantastic addition. People are especially in awe of the bathroom!

Karen was amazing to work with. For years I did my own colors and design but could not quite get the feel I wanted. I Felt a little stuck in my style. She worked with what I had done a and brought our home to a whole new level which is so beautiful and comfortable. Her eye for color and suggestions for subtle changes was exactly what was needed to create the feel I wanted. She is the best! And wonderful to work with too!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My fee is $95 per hour If I travel more than 15 miles to the clients project there is an addition $20 travel fee.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

The process begins with a telephone intake. during this call I answer questions and I have questions and suggestions to help the client prepare for our initial on site meeting. Depending on the scope of the project, the initial meeting is between 1-2 hours.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a degree in Interior Design and one in Sociology. While the Interior Design education addresses the obvious design issues, the Sociology background is very helpful in dealing with the emotional issues attached to decisions that must be made during the project.
