Candice is an incredibly talented florist. It was an absolute pleasure working with her for my wedding. She was professional and from the minute my husband and I met her we could tell she was very passionate about her job. She was able to provide us with beautiful floral designs that were within our budget. She did not spare on quality and was extremely accommodating with our many request. Whats more is Candice is very personable, she went above and beyond to make sure our ceremony and reception looked perfect. And it showed in her work, as we received tons of compliments from our guest about our floral arrangements. I would highly recommend her if you want beautiful, creative, eye catching floral designs with a personal touch.

My husband and I got married this past July and worked with Candice for our floral arrangements. From the minute we met Candice we knew that she would do an amazing job. Her dedication and passion for her job was clear right from the start! We came in having no idea what we wanted and she helped to guide us, provide us with ideas, and make the process of picking flowers for wedding both easy and fun. She was always there and responded promptly whenever we needed her or had a question. She went above and beyond to make everything look beautiful the day of. She listened to all of our thoughts and added her own creative touch and everything looked gorgeous. We were so happy working with Candice throughout the process leading up to our wedding. From the moment I walked into her flower shop, Candice was welcoming and professional. Her ideas were so creative, and absolutely perfect for the type of wedding we were having. Candice Howard/Duchess Florals did the flowers for my daughters wedding at the Nassau Inn in Princeton and she did an exceptional job. Candice captured exactly what my daughter and I wanted in the choice of flowers with all the different purple colors and arrangements. She handled everything on time and we did not have to worry about a thing. She also made a unique floral headpiece which came out beautiful. It is a very pleasant memory for all us.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received my Professional Floral Design Certification from The FlowerSchool New York. I take at least one class per quarter to keep my skills fresh.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always loved flowers and decorating with flowers. Several years ago, I was having Thanksgiving at my home. I saw a cornucopia basket for $1 in a thrift shop and decided to make a silk flower arrangement for my Thanksgiving table. I enjoyed it so much that I made all of my own Christmas decor that year. Then I started giving arrangements to friends and family. Within a few months, I started my own silk floral design company. Once I added fresh floral designs, I started Duchess Florals.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We usually provide centerpieces and other event décor as well as bridal party flowers, and ceremony décor. We are extremely creative in our approach and love to think "outside the box" when working within a tight budget.
