Candice was a pleasure to work with from day one. She listened to every request, concern and idea we had. She gave amazing advice as well as 150% of her effort with every meeting, email, phone call and last but not least my INCREDIBLE flowers. She took my vision and made it become real. My wedding pictures wouldnt be the same without Candice. My bouquet arrangement made all the difference in the world. The colors SHE chose, because I cant even take the credit for it, were just so perfect. In my naïveté, I thought dark dark reds and purples were what would look best but I am so THANKFUL that I constantly repeated to her that SHE had the final say because she was the professional. That strategy definitely paid off because the slightly different hues she chose tied with everything that day, it brought everything together in my pictures: the guys ties, my moms dress, the girls scarves, and even my dads tie (which he bought totally last minute)! The pictures in the bamboo garden BLEW ME AWAY and, honestly, the determining factor was definitely the bouquet! Clearly the bouquet POPs against my dress (and incredibly so!) but also I couldnt get over how the green in the bouquet really drew in the beauty of the surroundings!!!! AND, now this cant go without saying, the anemone that she was miraculously able to find (bc they were out of season) absolutely transformed the bouquet. The natural contrast in the anemone and positioning in the bouquet really just draws in the eye. And, while were talking about the anemone, she had the incredible vision to place one in my ceremony arch. And thankfully didnt overload the arch with flowers, too. It was the perfect amount of flowers to make the arch look elegant and really the flowers were more like pleasant surprises around the arch. In the pictures, they were spouts of beauty and didnt draw too much attention away from me and Francisco. I could go on and on about every detail that I absolutely loved but I'll leave it there! Loved everything! She exceeded my wildest expectations. Her heart was entirely dedicated to my wedding and it really did shine through that day and in the pictures. Trust me, you will not be disappointed!

Candace provided gorgeous garlands, bouquets and boutonnieres for my wedding at the palace at somerset park on 17th January, 2016. My experience with Candace was spectacular. Candace and I exchanged several thumbtack messages before I finally met her. My messages were full of queries consisting of my strict budget and my expensive classy expectations. Candace attentively replied to all my messages and provided customized quotes. FAQs

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received my Professional Floral Design Certification from The FlowerSchool New York. I take at least one class per quarter to keep my skills fresh.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always loved flowers and decorating with flowers. Several years ago, I was having Thanksgiving at my home. I saw a cornucopia basket for $1 in a thrift shop and decided to make a silk flower arrangement for my Thanksgiving table. I enjoyed it so much that I made all of my own Christmas decor that year. Then I started giving arrangements to friends and family. Within a few months, I started my own silk floral design company. Once I added fresh floral designs, I started Duchess Florals.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We usually provide centerpieces and other event décor as well as bridal party flowers, and ceremony décor. We are extremely creative in our approach and love to think "outside the box" when working within a tight budget.
