Introduction: We are making a difference, one student at a time. We are a private music studio offering quality piano lessons, with 2 locations in San Antonio. Our specialties include the MusicTime program, Suzuki Piano, and praiseTime. Traditional piano lessons require students to learn how to read music from the very beginning. Unfortunately, this approach is slow and frustrating. In the end, many students are not even able to play a simple song, like "Happy Birthday to You". In contrast, my approach focuses on the absolute joy of playing the piano. It imitates the natural process of learning how to talk by listening and demonstration. No more boring practice sessions and persistent hours of drills that typically come with traditional piano lessons. Music reading is introduced after you have developed a natural connection to the instrument and can play many songs. The bottom line is that the MusicTime approach guarantees success. In fact, you'll be playing great-sounding music from the very beginning. Established in 2005, Mr. Aguilar has been teaching piano to children, teens, and adults in San Antonio since 2005. He specializes in the Suzuki method in order to teach classical music to young kids based on the same principles used when learning language -- listening, imitating, and repeating. MusicTime is a hands-on piano training that makes it possible to learn a variety of songs in a short period of time. It's great for teenagers who want a fun, easy, and 'cool' way to learn piano or keyboards and even be able to play in a band or in school. The praiseTime curriculum prepares students to play chord charts on the keyboard, different style accompaniments, improvisation, and transposition, all within a sacred repertoire of contemporary praise songs and traditional hymns. Students might be able to join a praise band at church and play along with guitar, bass, and drum players and singers. Pablo Aguilar is a certified piano teacher (NCTM) located in San Antonio, TX. He is currently pursuing a Master of Music degree in Piano Pedagogy and Performance at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Mr. Aguilar graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Montemorelos where he completed a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance. He also has trained extensively in the Suzuki method with Dr. Doris Harrel and was awarded the Piano Pedagogy Award in 2011 by the Department of Music at UTSA. All ages are welcomed. Mr. Aguilar offers beginner and intermediate level piano lessons to new and transfer students.
