John Sheeley was happy to assist last year and in a professional manner every single time we discussed my needs and his qualifications. He is EA certfied, which is highly recognized by the IRS. Most Tax consultants do not have this certification. From what I've read regular classes and testing is required to become an EA certified Tax consultant and very few meet those qualifications. He is more current on Tax laws and requirements and will assist if a IRS audit is ever required. I found him and his office staff extremely professional. They were able to manage my last minute requests with speed and excellence. John accommodated my every need while reassuring me that time contstaints were not a problem. Everything went so well that my 1st visit actually completed my task, filing Income Taxes that same visit. Rates were reasonable and competitive. I am using him in 2016 as well and once again am very grateful. Behind again, somewhat new to this chore, and John Sheeley is available within minutes by text to respond to my needs. What types of customers have you worked with?
I prepare many tax returns for self-employed (freelancer) non-resident aliens living and working in New York. I also prepare U.S. tax returns for U.S. subsidiaries of foreign companies. We also have experience in the fashion industry, as well as experience with venture-funded startups.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure the Enrolled Agent has experience with your type of situation. Inquire if they are familiar with anything that brought you anxiety in the past. Ask for referrals from friends and colleagues you trust.
