Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I was recently with the Creative Director for Starbucks. He stated, "If your graphic designer isn't asking enough questions, they're not designing. They're just making things look pretty." What I do differently from other graphic designers is I ask specific, relevant questions to help you communicate your message clearly, succinctly, and excellently. I find out "why you do what you do the way you do it" and then I design. I ask questions. What I enjoy most about being a designer is the diverse array of clientele I work with. I learn from each client. In turn, my other clients benefit from my experience working with other businesses in other industries. I learn how a business needs to communicate whether they are a skin care consultant or an orthodontist or a university.

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

Logo Design & Branding Printed Collateral (business cards, letterhead systems, brochures, signage) Web Graphics (banners, icons) Book Covers & Author Promotion

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

    1) Review their portfolio and look at the diversity of clientele 2) Ask the provider what questions they ask in the design process 3) Don't hire on price. You will always be able to find a cheaper solution. Hire based on competence and ability.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

It's easy to find very cheap solutions for logo design by going overseas or hiring dirt cheap online designers. You may get a logo you like, but does it truly reflect who you are? Does it accurately communicate your message? Again, if your designer isn't asking enough questions, they aren't designing. They're just making things that look pretty.
