- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am constantly practicing and performing, and working on improving my own playing and understanding of music.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I knew that music was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life the first time I played in a group with other musicians. I was a middle school student at the time, and I had been a violinist in elementary school (I started when I was eight) but never enjoyed it. In middle school I took music as a class, and as I was one of the taller kids in the class at the time, the teacher gave me a bass and put me in a group, and I was hooked.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Don't be afraid to look around for someone who you feel comfortable with. The way one person conceives of and explains something so simple as how to use one's hands varies from person to person, and finding someone who explains things in a way you understand is important.
