Our cat Emmett had lived in a shelter most of his life when we adopted him. He spent his first month living under my son's bed when we brought him home. Rachel was his second sitter and first photographer, during his "coming out of his shell" phase. He was still quite skittish but somehow she was able to take extraordinary pictures of Emmett that captured his various moods, from playful to fierce to cuddly. His essence really comes through in the many pictures she took. Rachel's patience and ability to make Emmett feel comfortable led to pictures that I will always treasure. Also, she delivered as promised, a disk of pictures and a couple beautiful prints, which I have at my desk at work and in the living room. A wonderful cat photographer!!

Working with Rachel was a wonderful experience! We were a large group with two toddler and Rachel was patient with getting shots of the whole family, even when the toddlers got cranky. We received our images super fast and they were all beautiful! Already planning on working with her yet again!

We were privileged to have Rachel take pictures of our son's first birthday. Rachel was so professional, she arrived on time and was so patient with us and with Adam the whole time. Her photos are beautiful and she took pictures of all our guests and their children too. I highly recommend Rachel for families, she is easy going and also so much fun to work with!

We booked Rachel for a family session photo shoot in Central Park in June. I spoke with several photographers in Manhattan and Rachel was the most accessible and affordable. She returned my initial email very quickly and sent the photos on compact disc within a week of the session. We appreciated her professionalism. All 6 of us were very happy with the outcome of the photos and look forward to sharing them on this year's Christmas card.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My standard pricing can vary so please confirm pricing with the photographer. Family/children's photo session $275-300. Headshots $200 Events $150 per hour
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically I begin by communicating by email or by phone to ascertain what type of photography a new customer wishes to have. Once I know everything about the event/session, we schedule a time. I encourage the client to send me examples of something they like and or create a list of photos they MUST have. We meet at the agreed upon place for the session. Once the session is complete I will send the cutover 'teaser' photos to enjoy while editing the photos. The final images are ready in about 2 weeks and are sent via dropbox or disc.
What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common type of photography I do for my clients are Family/Children/Baby portrait sessions. I also commonly do children's birthday parties. My sessions are always on location and in a place that both the clients and myself choose together!
