Introduction: My work is know for its color and quality. I specialize in portrait photography, and I love isolating the subject in the image. I think that photography can be both a reference for memory and a piece of art. People hire photographers to capture events, so that they can later look at the photos and remember. I enjoy making those photos also timeless works of art, so that they are viewed as being external to their events. When you print off an image to be framed, it isn't simply because of when it was taken, it's also because of how it continually speaks to you. Making images like that are what I enjoy.

My wife and I hired Daniel to photograph our wedding day, and Daniel did an outstanding job. His price was great, and his work was excellent. Daniel was very accommodating; he did whatever we asked of him and more! He came early that morning to get shots of my wife getting ready, and was there working until my wife and I left the reception site on the way to our honeymoon. Daniel was very professional, but also incredibly warm, friendly, and fun to work with. Daniels photography was clean and well shot. I am picky when it comes to photography, and I was more than impressed with his skills.The MANY photos we received came to us quickly and in an ultra accessible manner - a flash drive each for me & the wife and our parents. We all could not be more pleased with the work that Daniel did for us. I would recommend Daniel Donaldson to anyone for any occasion!

My fiance and I wanted to have our engagement photos taken. The photographer was very personable which helped make our photo shoot extra special. He was professional and suggested some great poses which came out great on the pictures. Like any customer service, there's always room for improvement however I would definitely recommend him and it would be a pleasure to work with him again in the future!

Daniel took great pictures. He was very patient dealing with a large group. He took the extra time onsite to edit the pictures and create DVDs for each family. He was very open to out feedback on who we wanted in each picture. The only improvement opportunity I have for Daniel is to provide more direction in regards to posing. There were a few pictures that could have looked better based on the guidance. Overall good job and I would use him in the future.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I continually learning more about post production, using programs such as lightroom and photoshop. There are so many options when working within these programs, so you really need to think about what you are trying to accomplish, what you want the image to look like when you're done.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I recently chaperoned a school trip to Virginia. While I wasn't paid as a photographer, I really enjoyed photographing the various historic sites we went to. You can view the pictures through my facebook page.
