FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Absolutely. Everyone within my organization is required to complete at least one continuing education course each month. This can be a web class on portrait posing, a lesson on proper editing, or even one month, a couple of us became notaries. The only requirement is the class be mutually beneficial to our clients and employees.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I acquired my first camera at age 7 after saving my allowance for many weeks. Over 20 years later, I still love taking my spot behind the lens and viewing the world through a viewfinder. Their is a certain elegance afforded to all of us when looking at a good photograph. You should not only see the subject, but also feel the ambiance of the setting. A wise mentor once told me the greatest compliment a photographer can receive is the one not directed to him at all. Meaning, when someone looks at a photo of a bride and says "Stephanie, you look incredible!", it's a much greater compliment than "great photo, Eric" as the viewer is feeling the memory captured. Only then have you truly preserved the moment.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
While I started as an architectural and aviation photographer, in recent years I've become much more involved with photographing people. I've had clients from individual headshots, to a corporate conference of over 25,000. I still do a bit of commercial and architectural work as well.
