I have more than 15 years of experience helping students study abroad for academic credit. If you would like to take advantage of one of these life-changing experiences for a summer, semester, or academic year, I can help you define what it is you're looking for in a program and help you identify the perfect one for you! If you are a working adult who would like to also take advantage of such an experience, either a language immersion program or a program related to your profession, I can also assist you. Service-learning/volunteer experiences is another area where there are more and more opportunities. I also have many years of experience working with all kinds of individuals who wish to learn/improve their French and/or English language skills. I customize my services to the needs of the student. If a student needs me to speak a lot of English in order to learn French, I will do so. If the student prefers I speak as much French as possible, I will do that. For ESL students, I have learned several languages myself so know what the challenges are when learning another language. I also have an excellent grasp of grammar and good communication skills. I am passionate about helping people take advantage of educational experiences abroad which help them gain cross-cultural understanding and a global perspective. I know what participating in such experiences did for me (junior year in Paris, intensive language programs in Spain, Guatemala, Mexico, and Brazil) so I want other people to have these same experiences. I have helped hundreds of students study abroad including winning scholarships to help pay for it. I am also fascinated by other languages and like to share my enthusiasm for teaching them to individuals who'd like to learn them.
