FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I just recently finished 250 hours with Annie Carpenter in California. She is amazing. My goal is to reach at least 100 hours with her in next year or so (and to keep on learning from her as long as I can - youtube her!) I am constantly taking workshops, classes and going on retreats. I'll also be doing some anatomy training in 2015 which I am VERY excited for, as it's one of my favorite things about the asana (physical) practice!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Like many yogis, I found yoga during a hard time in my life. I was lucky enough to find teachers with whom I resonated. They guided me, and I wanted change. I can't tell you how many times I've had life changing experiences through yoga, one of them being the class where I knew I had to go through teacher training so that I could give back what yoga has given me.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Have patience with yourself and your practice. Like anything, it takes time to build and time to see results. It works as long as you keep a steady practice going.
