My computer was making noise and I already had a diagnostic from the Apple store. The diagnostic said that I had a problem with one of my fans and the batter was not so good. Richard came over (I had to get out of town that day and tried to get him working on computer, but as things go things take longer than expected and it ended up being last minuter. suggested I get a new hard drive to increase the speed, opened my computer and blew the dust out of my fan with some compressed air installed a new hard drive . Later he came over a bit last minute, because I need to get out of town and put a new hard drive in and started the transfer of data, but there was not enough time to finish the data transfer, so he had me use my old hard drive externally (hanging out of the side of my computer) and then I could transfer the data when I had time (out of town). When I had time I went to do the data transfer and noticed that there was not enough room, so when I got back to town we planned to meet again. The fan was still making noise, so I asked if we could get that replaced and he obliged. So we met again and he replaced the fan and I believe we got the hard drive replaced with a bigger one or maybe we put the old one in. At this point I don't recall everything, but there was a bit of back and forth and scheduling to meet and work around each others schedules. In the end I decided that I needed a new computer and ended up doing that. I spent, somthing like $250 (some of the receipts I can't tell what they are for) on my old computer and ended up selling it for $50. Also at the ended it turned out that he owed me somthing like $45 and we agreed that he would give me tech support for my website in exchange, but that hasn't happened. Richard is a nice guy, I like him and he is very knowledgeable in regards to computers. So, what could have gone better? I could have, just gotten the fan replaced and that's it. I spent about $240 while I was trying to go a cheaper route (using techserve or such) In the end I ended up buying a new computer and selling my old one for $50. The point here is I think we both learned somthing from the experience and we will not repeat past mistakes. Ge Rich I hate to give you a poor review. I have to pick a star between poor and average. Some of the writing about is a bit jumbled as I'm busy as hell and have to get on with my busy day , but i think you get the jist.

John, why would you leave me such a horrible review after I was so patient with you? You are also forgetting all of the details with is very unfair. 1. I collected a total of $137 from John for a new battery, new fan and also an SSD hard drive (which turned out to be too small and was later exchanged for a larger one.) 2. John wanted to get new life out of his laptop and I did my best to recommend an SSD drive, which by all accounts is the best solution next to getting a new computer. 3. John decided he did not want the SSD's, so on my 3rd visit, I removed the second SSD drive after being installed and returned it no problem. At this point , John did not pay me the difference for the SSD, the only money to have been exchanged was the $137 originally. 4. I installed the fan, everything worked out well, spent HOURS there in total, and charged ZERO for my labor. Why? I have no idea. 5. The difference to be paid back to John, after the BATTERY and FANS were tallied up, was $37. Let's not count in my transportation cost, my time, or anything, this is just parts we are talking about. I said I'll try to help you with your website, no problem. Friendly exchange. This is completely unfair of John to be posting this about me and my services, and any other shop would've charged him labor. The cost of services is not dependent on the cost of your equipment. Just because you ended up selling your laptop for $250, what does that have to do with my services? John wanted to keep his laptop alive for budget reasons and I tried to help, even not charging him labor after all was said and done. My question is, how can you leave me such a bad review? I gave you the receipts directly from the store I bought the products from. You don't even mention the battery in the description above, which means you forgot about that too. This is very upsetting, I hope this is removed.

Richard Singh was responsive and effective in solving our computer problems which related to a fan issue. He actually did what he said he would do (which I find unusual these days) and we found him personable, honest and trustworthy which is important when having a technician in your home. I will be using him if any new problems arise and highly recommend him to anyone seeking computer repair.
