FAQs
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
There are many different kinds of editing. Copy editing, for instance, is geared toward polishing what is already on the page, with a particular eye for grammar, spelling, punctuation and style. Line editing, on the other hand, is more structural. As a line editor, I ask: is this the right order to present this information? Would it be more clear if rephrased? Is there something missing here? Finally, developmental editing is less in the weeds, but more about offering guidance and feedback for a writer to rewrite and improve his or her own work.
