Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: At Graham's Shoe Service, we fix boots, shoes, purses, bags, belts, coats, and just about anything with straps, buckles, zippers, rips, tears, laces and Velcro. We also specialize in orthopedic modifications and shoe inserts. In addition, we shine, stretch, recondition, resole, reheel, refurbish, and renew all sorts of leather items. We are located near the Appalachian Trail for all your hiking gear repairs -- backpacks, boots, rips, tears, and advice. We offer a full range of D.I.Y. shoe and leather care products, including laces, polish, dyes, conditioners, cleaners, insoles, and more. Lastly, feel free to check out "Hummingbird's Tiny Thrift Shop", or buy a dozen of our local free-range brown eggs from our family's hens. We even offer a "free stuff" table full of gently worn shoes, as well as a table of free canned items for community members in need. The items for give-away are all donated by our customers. If you would like to donate shoes or canned goods, we are happy to provide a receipt for tax purposes. "I have had the pleasure of meeting David Young, and can say that David can work magic with leather. He is my go-to guy for any questions about any leather work. He is a gifted man, and plays a good guitar as well. That he is a legend along the hiking trail is not a surprise to me. We are fortunate to have David here." -- comment on our article in the News Virginian website.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Our prices are based on time, skill, and materials. Depending on the severity of disrepair, prices on just about any job can vary greatly. The best way to get a price estimate from us is to either stop in (Don't forget to bring the item with you) or send a clear photo of the item in disrepair to our Facebook page (via Message please) or our email address. We can generally give you a price range once we know how much work is involved. Frankly, the best thing is to bring it into the shop, but due to gas prices and the fact that we fix such a wide variety of items we are happy to look at potential work online as well.
