Introduction: I am a custom woodworker and furniture designer. I have over 15 years of experience in designing and building various projects, from individual furniture pieces, full-kitchen remodels to boat interiors. Design and 3D modeling are available with any project as I handle all aspects from beginning to end. I hold a Michigan builders license and fine arts degree from CCS. Jay was as pleasant as his work was precise. He responded quickly, offered professional advice, completed and installed the project quickly, and provided me with exactly what I wanted. His was the last piece (a countertop) of an entire kitchen remodel – gutted and rebuilt. During the process I dealt with many tradesmen who were disappointing in a number of ways, not the least of them inferior work and a lack of timeliness. Group 12 was a welcome change, offering professionalism and craftsmanship in an amiable atmosphere. I can highly recommend this company.

Group 12 Design was contracted to install Crown Molding, replace Baseboards, Patch Walls, and Paint. They showed up on time, were clean, reasonably priced, went beyond the scope of the work and did not rush. The bottom line is they did an EXCELLENT job and will be hiring them again.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Are pricing are as follows. Any work fabricated in the shop is 65.00 hour and any installation is 45.00 an hour. We are professionals woodworkers.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The process always starts with an intial meeting to discuss the project. There are many variables when it comes to custom furniture and woodworking. The material, finish, hardware and complexity of the project all determined what the budget will be. In order to be on the same page for estimating and to build a relationship, a simple meeting is very important.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I personal have over 15 years in the building and custom woodworking field. I obtain my bachelor of fine arts degree from the College for Creative Studies in product and furniture design.
