FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing depends on travel and duration of lesson. Lessons are 60-90 min and payments are monthly. Discounted rates apply to multiple weekly lessons and semester packages are available.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with a variety of students from beginners to advanced and pro level performers. Usually, students take lessons one-on-one. They really enjoy their lessons because the material we learn is always applied to their interests/favorite songs. This really inspires and motivates them so they really enjoy the lessons and practicing. It's really inspiring and rewarding to see how enthusiastic students become about playing the guitar or learning an instrument in general. Occasionally, students will also take classes with a friend or in a group setting which is great because they gain experience interacting with others. Many of my advanced students go on to perform with their own groups.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would make sure the teacher has expertise on the instrument you want to play and the style(s) in which you are interested. Experience and a proven track record of great students is also more important than credentials or other sales pitches. I would suggest to look for a teacher that will not only help you learn guitar, but really encourage and inspire the student in developing a passion for playing an instrument because that is something they can enjoy and share for years to come. Furthermore, when students apply what they learned in occasional group settings, they really gain experience interacting with others. Also, feel free to ask any questions you might have whether it is about experience teaching, other references & testimonials, or questions about selecting a guitar.
