- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We have package prices based on what you can afford and what we will provide for that package price. Our packages start at $150 for a very basic site & go to $365. for a site with all the pages, logo, submits etc. you will need plus free updates for 1 yr. Most of our clients choose our $365. package. We offer a payment plan if needed. We also promote a favorite hosting company which has hosting for under $50. for the 1st yr. includes your domain & lots of extras. We require a deposit of $85. to start working on your site & will provide screenshots of the design for your approval.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
There is a wealth of information provided to web developers through many specialty sites and I always read all the serious updates on design or Google or other problems that others are having. So yes, I keep up with the industry daily. We recently researched new software for 3 mos reading all the manuals before making our purchase. This new software has allowed us to be able to implement many new features and designs using a template we can design completely to suit our clients.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My main focus from 1985 to 1996 was stock photography however the market for stock images was devalued when digital cameras allowed most anyone to take a good picture plus fees for use dropped drastically. That is when I decided to create a website for my antiques site. From 1996 to 2001, I learned alot & became proficient enough to offer my services as a web designer. From 2001 to the present, I have continued to educate myself in web design & maintenance. I still do photography (now digital) but miss real slide film with a "real" camera.
