FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our fees are comprised of several different components. We charge a Creative Fee/Day Rate for photography, and hourly for different supporting roles, I.E. models, stylists (fashion, prop, food, hair, makeup, etc.), assistants, and retouchers. If there are props or equipment necessary that we do not have, we will charge for the rental or acquisition of those items as well. There is also a fee per image to cover licensing. This fee is based on; the size of your business; the usage of the images (internal communication, external marketing, training, advertising, etc.); the planned distribution media (website, magazine, billboard, broadcast, etc.); the planned coverage (local, national, international); and the length of use (limited, or in perpetuity). Although this sounds intimidating, we keep these fees affordable for small businesses.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our process typically starts with a discussion regarding the creative vision or need that our clients have. Once we have come to an understanding of the scope of the project, we build out a proposal that outlines the timeline, necessary resources, budget, and deliverable expectations (including fees for image licensing). Once the proposal is signed by our clients we schedule a date for the shoot and proceed. In some cases a 50% deposit is required in order to rent or secure props and locations.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Over 25 years of graphic design, media production, marketing, business brand strategy and business consulting. More directly relevant, over 8 years in photography with 5 of them being in the corporate, advertising, and editorial realms.
