A. There are plenty of choices out there when it comes to "hood cleaners". You can choose based on proximity to your location or how many years a particular business been operating. Many times a decision is based on price. Our suggestion is to check references. We can supply your business with references from small locally owned business, regionally operated franchises or various institutions.
A. Your kitchen is the heart of your business. A grease fire can occur at anytime. Having the kitchen exhaust system cleaned regularly by a qualified exhaust hood cleaning company can greatly reduce this risk. Can you really afford to trust this to the lowest bidder?
A. We recently secured a small Burger King franchise (our third) in Beaver County, PA. The owner had been dealing with an area competitor for over 12 years but they had become increasingly unreliable with scheduling. After switching to another area competitor we happened to stop in and offered our services. After reviewing our company and references, they went with Hood Systems. During our first visit we pulled 53 lbs(!) of carbon from their broiler hood. Yes, 53 pounds. Not only was their cleaner of 12+ years not cleaning their exhaust system correctly, but the new company, who did two 'cleanings', also failed miserably.
What can you take from this? Just because a company has been around for xx number of years or has flashy equipment and uniforms, it all comes down to legitimate references and proven quality of work.

A. I was working for an area competitor who was not concerned with cleaning to NFPA standards. I took it upon myself to research the industry, learn what needed to be done and set out to do it right. And since 1997, we've been doing it right.
A. Hood Systems recently secured two large Burger King franchises in the Pittsburgh area. Both franchises were being serviced by a popular competitor. During our first servicing; which was three months since our competitor had been there, we removed 8-10 gallons of carbon from the broiler hood. This occurred at every(!) location. Now that Hood Systems is servicing these accounts, 1-1 1/2 gallons of carbon is accumulating between cleanings.
