Introduction: Hypnosis is a state of mind. A way of thinking and perceiving the world. It's what you DO in that state that makes the difference. There is no one "suggestion" that will work universally for every client. The best hypnotherapists have a lot of tools in their toolbox. Not only do they know what to do, they know when, and the best of the best also knows WHY. It's knowing what makes you tick that makes the difference between a hypnotic technician from a hypnotic mind artist! But the real differentiator is why we do what we do. Some people do it as a way to make money. Others do it because they like to help people. I do it because it is my calling, my destiny, my joy and passion. Ask me some time about the event that started it all for me. Metaphors, and epiphanies. I once created the metaphor of a big open field, and a person finding rocks and piling them up to make rock walls around the "dangerous" or "tender" spots in the field. After a while, the walls become so high, you can not see nor remember what those walls were meant to protect. It became a labyrinth. One by one, we tore down the walls and returned the field to it's natural state, so its true beauty could be appreciated. I love inventing metaphors like that! What I love the most is what the metaphor DOES. It leads a person to an epiphany, a personal breakthrough. There's nothing I love more than watching a person transform their life, right before my eyes!

My fiancee and I recently spent 3 hours in consultation with Mr Arrowwood and following that I wrote a comprehensive note to him describing the results and some thoughts for his consideration.. If I received a response from him I'd be in a much better position to respond to YOUR inquiry, John Alger
